ABOUT MY WORK

In over 20 years of experience as a professional stage dancer, I have been able to gather valuable experience, which I am keen to pass on to the younger generation.

My career has allowed me to unite the precision and aesthetics of the French-school techniques. I have been able to familiarise myself with all the styles, from classical and neo-classical to contemporary ballet.

I see my particular role as being to teach students technique, musicality, coordination and an alertness of spirit. These are properties that a dancer needs every day in order to cope with the requirements of the stage and the wide variety of both pieces and choreographers today. I set myself the standard of finding words, images, examples and ideas for every movement, tailored to the person in question. After all, every physique and every person is both unique and different.

The Gyrotonic technique helps me to communicate awareness of the body’s axis, the energy and the flow of movement to the students and to search for movements that are in harmony with the needs of the body.
