Ballet Summer School in Carcassonne (South France)

Created by Marina Antonova and Guy Albouy in 2008, the International Ballet Summer School takes place in every summer, often on our campus. A two-week long summer school, it offers a full programme, including ballet, contemporary, variations, pas de deux, improvisation and full range of repertoire classes for students aged from 14 up to professional dancers.  Offering a comprehensive daily schedule of classes in appropriate levels, the Ballet Summer School also includes fully supervised accommodation and a meal plan, cultural and recreational excursions in Dresden as well as the chance to audition for a full-time place in the Palucca University of Dance Dresden.

The collaboration has built up over the years with many participants being invited to join the Palucca University of Dance Dresden and welcomes a new team of guest teachers from all over the world every year. Previous Repertoire Workshops have focused on the works of Mats Ek, William Forsythe, Jiri Kylian, George Balanchine and David Dawson, amongst others. Teachers have also included such luminaries as Nicholas Le Riche, Clairemarie Osta, Yannick Boquin, Larissa Ponomarenko and Leslie Peck.

In 2023 the Ballet Summer School takes place in Carcassonne (South France). Please check on the Summer School website (see below) for updates and information for the Ballet Summer School of 2023 in Carcassonne (South France).
