From 17 to 22 July 2022, the 25th dance week of the Palucca University of Dance Dresden will take place on Hiddensee. The annual event (canceled due to the pandemic in 2021) with students of the bachelor's degree in dance and the master's degree in dance pedagogy as well as musicians accompanying dance offers a dance event that unites nature and art. With the Hiddensee Dance Week, the Dresden Dance School commemorates its founder Gret Palucca (1902-1993). The dancer, choreographer and teacher was a regular guest on the island and also found her final resting place there.
