PALUCCA BEWEGT ("Palucca moves") is a colourful day of dance to mark the 100th anniversary of the university.

An open day of interaction with workshops, discussion rounds and observations to join in and watch.

“Palucca bewegt” event on February 1, 2025 - a special day of interaction

The “Palucca bewegt” event brings people together: Pupils, students and interested visitors, former dancers, employees of the University as well as Dresdeners and guests from all over Germany.

A varied program is waiting for you under the motto “Join in the dancing, watch and experience”:

  • Open improvisation workshops where you can join for a dance experience.
  • Exciting work shadowing sessions where you can experience the work of our students live in workshops.
  • A variety of information points (student office, Palucca e.V., Palucca Stiftungsfonds )
  • Campus tours that also allow you to take a look behind the scenes (please register for English or sign language tours by January 15, 2025 at the latest at presse(at)palucca.eu)
  • A painting and art workshop offered especially for children. Here the little ones can let off steam creatively and experiment with different materials.

Our free workshops are specially tailored to the needs of different age groups - everyone from 13 to 60+ is welcome! Please remember to bring thick socks or slippers if you would like to actively participate. Dance workshops or shadowing are possible on this day until 3 pm at the latest.

Highlights of the day:

  • Public discussion rounds with renowned guests like Prof. Hanne Wandtke, Katja Erfurth, the artist collective Miller de Nobili, Friederike Rademann and other inspiring personalities. The discussion rounds will focus on various aspects of expressive dance and improvisation.
  • A cooperation with the Tanzarchiv Leipzig e.V., in which former graduates and contemporary witnesses can share their memories and have them recorded in the form of an interview. If you would like to be interviewed yourself, please contact us in advance at alumni(at)palucca.eu.
  • Former graduates also have the opportunity to view personal student documents after prior registration. Registration for this is possible until January 19, 2025 at the latest at alumni(at)palucca.eu. Please bring your identity card with you on the day of inspection.

Our students and parents' speakers will be serving coffee and cake, and the university canteen will be open for you.
